How it works
Draw your signature in the box, pick a page and position, and the tool stamps a transparent PNG of your signature onto the PDF.
The signature pad accepts mouse, trackpad, and finger / pen input. Once drawn, the canvas is auto-trimmed (transparent margins removed) and embedded as a PNG with a transparent background. Pick which page to sign (1 to N), where on the page (9 positions from top-left to bottom-right), and the signature width in pixels (80 to 320). The image is placed with a 32pt margin from the edges. Output is a fresh PDF with the signature drawn onto the chosen page. This is a visual signature, not a cryptographic one: it doesn't add a digital signature certificate, doesn't verify identity, and a determined editor could remove it. For most everyday signing (forms, NDAs you're returning by email), it's exactly what's needed. Built on pdf-lib.
How to use it
- Drop your PDF. Drag the PDF you need to sign into the upload area.
- Draw your signature. Sign in the pad with mouse, trackpad, or finger — it's auto-trimmed to a transparent PNG.
- Pick page and position. Choose which page to sign, one of nine positions, and the signature width.
- Stamp and download. Hit Sign and download the PDF with your signature placed on the chosen page.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I sign a PDF on my phone?
- Yes. The signature pad accepts finger input on mobile. Position controls work the same.
- Is this a legally binding signature?
- It's an image of your handwritten signature on a PDF, which is typically accepted for ordinary business use. It's not a cryptographic digital signature (no X.509 certificate).
- Does the signature go on every page?
- No. You pick one page. Run the tool again for additional pages.
- Can someone remove my signature?
- It's a drawn image on the page, so technically yes (any PDF editor could). For tamper-evidence, you'd need a cryptographic digital signature, which this tool doesn't provide.
