How it works

Open the page on your phone, point the camera at a document, capture each page, and the tool stitches them into a PDF.

On first use the browser asks for camera permission. Once granted, the tool opens the back camera (with the highest resolution your device offers, up to 1920px wide) and shows a live preview. Tap Capture to grab a page, tap Switch to toggle to the front camera if you need it. Captures show up in a list below where you can reorder them up / down or delete any you mis-shot. When you've got the pages you want, hit Save as PDF: each capture becomes a full-bleed JPEG page in the output PDF at 92 quality. The camera stream is closed automatically when you navigate away. Requires HTTPS (which this site is) and camera permission. Works on iOS Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and most mobile browsers.

How to use it

1. Open the tool on your phone. Allow camera access when the browser asks — HTTPS and permission are required.
2. Capture each page. Point the back camera at the document and tap Capture once per page.
3. Review and reorder. Delete mis-shots and reorder captures in the list below the preview.
4. Save as PDF. Hit Save as PDF and every capture becomes a full-bleed page, assembled locally.

Frequently asked questions

Does this work on iPhone and Android?

Yes, on any mobile browser that supports getUserMedia (iOS Safari, Chrome, Firefox, etc.). On desktop too if you have a webcam, though the resolution is usually lower.

Are my scans uploaded anywhere?

No. The camera stream runs in your browser, captures stay in your browser, the PDF is assembled locally via pdf-lib.

Can I scan multiple pages into one PDF?

Yes. Tap Capture once per page. Each capture becomes a page in the output, in the order they appear in the list.

Why won't the camera turn on?

Three usual reasons: you denied camera permission (check site settings to re-grant), you're not on HTTPS (we are, but check the URL bar), or another app is using the camera. Switch between front and back with the Switch button.
