Turn a PDF into a .pptx where each PDF page becomes a slide. Runs via LibreOffice WASM in the browser.

Each PDF page typically becomes one slide. Text-based PDFs with simple layouts produce reasonably editable slides where text remains text (selectable, editable) and images remain images. Slide decks that started life as PowerPoint and were exported to PDF round-trip cleanly. Complex layouts may lose alignment, and scanned PDFs become image-only slides. First use loads LibreOffice WASM (~300 MB) and caches it. Output is .pptx, opens in PowerPoint, Keynote, LibreOffice Impress, and Google Slides. Useful when you've lost the original deck and only have a PDF, or when you need to repurpose a report as slides. Note: the LO WASM bundle isn't fully self-hosted yet; the tool will return an honest error message until it's deployed.

How to use it

1. Drop your PDF. Decks that started as PowerPoint round-trip best; scans become image-only slides.
2. Wait for the engine on first use. The LibreOffice WASM bundle (~300 MB) downloads once and caches.
3. Convert. Each PDF page becomes one slide, converted entirely locally.
4. Download the .pptx. Open it in PowerPoint, Keynote, Impress, or Google Slides.

Frequently asked questions

Will the slides be editable?

Text-based PDFs give editable text and image placeholders. Scanned PDFs give image-only slides where you can't edit individual elements.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. LibreOffice WASM handles the conversion locally in your browser.

Does it preserve slide animations or speaker notes?

No, those don't exist in the PDF source. You start fresh with static slides.

Why is the first run slow?

The LibreOffice WASM engine is ~300 MB. Downloads once, then cached.
